Nutrition & Lifestyle Support
As one of the five therapeutic branches of East Asian Medicine, proper nutrition is considered VERY important. For many centuries, East Asian Medicine developed a sophisticated system of nutritional tenets that help guide people towards healthier digestion and away from dietary habits that could lead them to illness.
For example, in EAM, each food has been assigned one of five flavors and one of three temperature levels. Each of these flavors and temperatures can help or hinder, depending on the current state of that individual’s health.
If a patient’s condition is impacted by sub-optimal nutrition, we will offer nutritional support and suggestions to help the whole system regain balance.
The same is true of lifestyle support such as sleep hygiene recommendations or stress-management techniques.
